Grant Given to SFC Neal Boyd

Each year, the Patrick Williamson Memorial Foundation assists in purchasing a vehicle for an armed service member in need of a specialized, custom vehicle due to injuries preventing the use of a standard automobile.  In 2014, funds were used to purchase a vehicle for Army Sergeant First Class Neal Boyd.  Boyd was injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) during Operation Iraqi Freedom and suffered a leg amputation, among other injuries.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, Boyd's original vehicle is no longer operable.  As a result, the foundation awarded a $20,000 grant towards the purchase of a new customized vehicle for Sergeant Boyd.
